JOB DESCRIPTION Technical Solutions Engineer (Partner Reliability Engineer) - Paris Position based in Paris, France. Google is looking for experienced engineers to ensure the reliability of our partner-facing products and services. Technical Solutions Engineers in our Partner Reliability Group focus on designing and building applications that monitor the health of Google''s partner network. They use their understanding of Internet and network architecture to monitor Google''s network and resolve issues that affect our partners. Technical Solutions Engineers also work closely with partners to help them resolve complex technical issues, managing the escalation of those issues as a part of our mission to provide superior service to our partners. QUALIFICATIONSRequirements: Minimum of a BA/BS Computer Science or related technical degree. Experience troubleshooting Internet and networking-related issues. Detailed knowledge of HTML, XML/XSLT, HTTP, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP. In-depth experience in UNIX or GNU/Linux system administration and shell scripting. Experience scripting in Python, PHP, or Perl. Prior software programming and design experience required. Working knowledge of relational database administration (MySQL). Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated multitasking ability. Strong analytical skills. Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed, and organized. Must be able to learn quickly and get the job done in a high visibility, high stress situation.
