Responsibilities:

The (Art) Asset Manager provides coordination with and direction to the art department and outsourcing studios from initial design through full production by managing schedule, quality control and budget.

- Coordinate, track and manage the activities of team members, identify risks, bring forward schedule red flags, and troubleshoot communication and schedule dependency problems
- Give good direction to artists for the general style, modeling, texture, lighting, etc,
- Maintain close communication with outside developers to ensure they meet contractual requirements. Provide developers with material and technical support as needed.
- Identify, contract and direct individuals or organizations outside the project in the creation of assets such as independent contractors and outsourcing studios
- Establish, maintain and enhance creative relationships with internal and external developers
- Critique own and others work constructively
- Define art pipelines and find solutions to game requirements
- Work closely with Technical Director and Lead Artists
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Expert knowledge of hardware and software game industry trends
- Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team/department performance
- Strong technical background desirable
- Must posses the ability to handle multiple tasks from the team in an organized fashion, prioritizing these tasks effectively
- Analytical capacity and problem resolution
- Good written and oral capabilities
- Proactive, dynamic and diplomatic
- Results oriented and works well under pressure
- Experience in art tools like 3DSMAX and Photoshop
- Experience developing pipelines
- Excellent problem solving capabilities
- Excellent personal relationship skills
- Task driven, self motivated, excellent time management skills
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of cutting edge techniques and tools
- A passion for video games
- Fluency in English - 3+ years production experience with three or more complete development cycles in a management role
- Preferable (but not necessary to talent, knowledgeable person) BA(BS) Degree of Arts or equivalent from accredited Art Institution
- Experience with next-gen consoles
