Is it dangerous to be staying in the 15th arrondisement in Paris? I have friends who lived there and say it wasn't but I thought I might have heard that staying anywhere above the 8th was dangerous. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, and maybe I actually heard that above the 18th arrondisement, not the 8th was dangerous?

Any detail are good.

I would live in a place not far from metro station.

15th arrondissement is little away from all the tourist places, but you have access to everything and you can see the Eiffel Tower everyday There you can get that feeling of being Parisian.

I doubt it is dangerous. It is actually very beautiful. It's the most populated arrondissement in Paris, so the security must be ensured.

I'm only afraid of gypsy people there.

take a look at this picture. I think the 15th arrondissement is the best sector in Paris, so just cheer up and enjoy.
