YOHJI YAMAMOTO
Paris' Musée de la Mode gives carte blanche to Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. On the first floor of the exhibition, Yamamoto's Tokyo studio, complete with rolls of fabric, sketches and works in progress, has been recreated. While on the second floor, a retrospective look at his designs from the 1980s to the present unfolds against a stark background. Some pieces pay tribute to the great designers, including Balenciaga and Dior, yet all could only be from the hand of Yamamoto.

Yohji Yamamoto, Juste des Vêtements. Musée de la Mode et du Textile. Through August 28. Open Tuesday to Friday 11am-6pm. Saturday to Sunday 10am-6pm. 107-111 rue de Rivoli, 75001. Metro Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre.
