Hi i'm travelling to paris can i have a clear answer on what i should expect ?

Expect a very French experience! If you build up a stereotypical picture of what you think France is like in your head, this is basically what Paris is! Its beautiful, frustrating, charming, intimidating, noisy, impressive and over the top. Expect men playing accordions on the metro, and people carrying a baguette under their arm on their way home. Expect people to roll their eyes at you if you catch their glance, or flower-sellers to offer you a rose in an street cafe. Expect to be amazed by the beautiful architecture and shocked by the terrible driving. Its a place that arouses almost every emotion in one day - its a fantastically vibrant city which really does live up to the expectations of what France will be like. Also don't expect everyone to speak English because they wont, but be reassured, contrary to popular belief, French people generally try very hard to understand you. Its a great place, enjoy!
