My Favorite Restaurant In Paris

My Favorite Restaurant in Paris Posted 20 July 2010
Not an add. Just speaking the truth. Real French restaurants are hard to find.

I wish to experience a French dining. I think in this place, it is more of a pasta if I'm not mistaken and I find it sweet. :)

One of the most favourite restaurants in Paris is "La Jungle Transafric" in the Bourse arrondissement, not too expensive and cooking is very particular, tipical east-african cousine

"Lui l'Insolent" 15 rue Caulaincourt, in the 18th. A real French restaurant, with moderate prices. We love it.

I love to pop over to Maxin's in Paris. It's a favorite of my sister, Endora's. Clara even drops in when she can make it all the way there

One of my favorite restaurants in the 17th is Huitrier, a seafood restaurant tucked on a quiet street in the 17th.

Best spot for oysters in Paris is Le Pleine Mer - cheap and unpretentious. A plate of salmon, toast and tarama, followed
by a dozen oysters and a glass of muscadet, all for a mere 18.50 euros. My full review at Paris Restaurants and Beyond blog.

This isn't a French place so may not be of interest to those wanting authentic dining but Godjo in La Roche is one of my favourite places I've eaten here. It does Ethiopian food which is really tasty, and kind of unique. It is ideal for sharing with a big group, and comes with numerous dishes all on the same giant edible plate (made from a sort of big crepe) which you eat with your hands. It is a lot of grilled meats and vegetables in a sauce, with humus-type dips and salad. It also serves a great Ethiopian beer. I highly recommend it :-)

One I failed to mention in my previous posts - Le Gaigne, near Beaubourg (Pompidou Center). Great deal for their menu degustation, one of the best kept secrets in Paris. Full review at my Paris Restaurants and Beyond blog. I should also mention Lilane, near the Mosque, for a terrific price/quality ratio.
