I am an elementary reading school specialist and personal chef from North Carolina. I will be visiting Paris for the first time during spring break, April 8-12. I could stay in a hotel but would rather stay with people who know the area. I can pay a fee for those days and/or am willing to barter my services. I cook and tutor (elementary school reading, secondary school literature and writing, English as a second language, and math up to alegebra). I have references and, of course, am only interested in staying with a woman or a family.

If you know of anyone who would be available and interested, could you please forward this? Also, I'd like to participate in any activities that might be going on at that time.

Hey Tammy! I hope you enjoy your visit in Paris, I think you should visit the forum about accommodations in Paris. There are a lot of pretty marked down prices for apartments and there are also some options of sharing an apartment. Maybe you can find someone there who is willing to agree to your terms of trading services. As for your question about activities in Paris during April; if you love music, especially the blues genre, then you should visit northern suburbs of Paris for they would be celebrating Banlieue Blues Jazz Festival. Lots of lively jazz music!
