No I don't think you do, as Swiss are in schengen space from 12.12.08. However I knew that it will be effective on air routes from March, although its been effective on surface transport from last Decemeber. So if I were you, I would taken a train to Paris. Its cheap, convenient and hassle free. You will get direct TGV Lyria trains to Paris from Basel, Zurich, Geneva, Bern, Lausanne and Neuchatel, and can buy the ticket from station ticket counter.

According to me Paris is the best place for traveling. Because Their are many places in Paris for traveling. And Their are many good Hotels in Paris for stay.
