Responsibilities:
- Execute on design ideas in throughout pre-production and production
- Play principle role in creative problem solving sessions; may be asked to lead brainstorming sessions
- Play key role (may be in conjunction with an Art Director) in establishing the style and tone of an existing franchise or being a principle in establishing the look and feel of a new project
- Identify design problems that can be addressed visually and provide solutions in whatever appropriate form
- Work with Art/CG production teams to maintain quality and integrity of initial conceptual renderings
- Responsible for quality and production of presentation materials
- Work with game design team to add value to a franchise
- Produce final concept drawings, pre-production materials, any necessary for IP/Licensor approval drawings and construction drawings, may include; Creatures, Environments, Storyboards, or Overall Look and Feel on a small project
- Create Look/Feel Boards, Style Guide and Beat boards as appropriate
- Conduct reviews of Concept Art team with Art Production Managers and/or Development Directors
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Artistic ability and an understanding of visual communication
- Expert fundamental skills and illustration skills
- A excellent understanding of design process and methodology and how it is integrated into game production
- History of developing exceptional presentation materials in black white, color and physical 3D (mockups, actual models, sculptures, etc)
- Good ability to visually and verbally communicate complex mechanical and emotional concepts
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills
- Fluency in English
Prerequisites:
A portfolio demonstrating the following is required:
- Very strong traditional illustration skills in a variety of media as well as excellent drawing skills
- A strong ability to think in 3-D
- Strong fundamental skills
- Good use of line, light and shadow
- Storytelling and concept development
- Breadth of artistic styles
- Understanding of color theory
- Ability to work within a style including a style set by another artist/art director

- 3+ years production experience with three or more complete development cycles in a similar role
- Preferable (but not necessary to talent, knowledgeable person) BA(BS) Degree of Arts or equivalent from accredited Art Institution
