Any suggestions on how to text from abroad back to my friends in the US? My cellphone company wants to charge like $0.50 for each text I send and receive which is a little out of my budget. Thanks

Have you heard much about Chime? You get a US phone number to text from your mobile or PC. Its free, for now atleast, and you can text to friends in the US without racking up international charges cuz your using a US phone number. You sign up on their site and they set up your account for you. Hope that helps
