Me and My husband are coming to Paris for the first time. We've just started looking into where to stay and have got really confused with which area would be the best to stay in. Can anyone advise the best area to stay in for sight seeing??
Also any recommendations for reasonably priced hotels would also be appreciated.

Hotel depends on what you mean by reasonable. Remember the dollar gets you a lot further in the U.S. than it does in Paris.
