When I was in Paris 3 years ago, I always thought I'd come across a chocolate shop while strolling around, but I never did. This trip, I really want to experience French chocolate. Is there a certain place to look or to go?

Timeout Guide has a section on chocolate shops that includes Jean-Paul Hevin, Debauve & Gallais and La Maison du Chocolat that have links on the choco-club site. It also lists Christian Constant at 37 rue d'Assas in the 6th (metro St Placide) "a master chocolate maker ... revered by le tout Paris..."and Richart at 258 Bde St Germain (metro Solferino) "packages look like jewel boxes...".
