Hi, I am a Japanese female who is thinking of moving to France to marry my boyfriend(French). Currently, I am living in Australia with a student visa,and planning to go to France in Jan 2006 with Tourist visa.
Does anyone know how to ,and what I need for getting marry in France? Would it be possible to marry him,and stay in France afterwards, eventhough I only have the tourist visa?
How long would it take to finish all the procedure to marry?
I just don't have any knowledge of this kind of thing. Please someone help me out.

Marrying in France is quite straightforward and easy if your boyfriend is French.

If your boyfriend is French, you will automatically receive a French citizenship when you marry him. So, no problem

That is not correct. You'll get the French citizenship only after you've been married with a French for 4 years. If you divorce during that period you're file will be under investigation by the authorities.
