| Reservations through Hotels.com or Expedia |

| I found a great rate for a hotel in Paris on Hotels.com and Expedia, but I heard that it may not be a good idea to make reservations through those sites for international travel. Does anyone have experience with this? |

Are you seeing a good rate because you will have to prepay for the hotel? If so, you need to be sure about the hotel because you'll be stuck if you hate it and you've already paid.
I prefer to ask the hotel directly for their best rate, and deal with them specifically. And make sure whether the rate *includes* breakfast or not (usually it does not). |
