I've been asked by friends to recommend a good Chinese restaurant in Paris. Though I was recently there, it was not a cuisine that I sought out. Does anyone know of a particularly good Chinese restaurant in Paris? Also, where would you recommend for incredible French onion soup?
Thanks, |

Although there are many upscale Chinese restaurants in Paris, your friend couldn't do better than to go to Chinatown in the 13th. The two main drags are Avenue de Choisy and Avenue d'Ivry, both of which are filled with eating establishments. (The area is a quick metro ride from central Paris on the number 7.)
There's an article on Chinatown in the Washington Post at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2004/10/10/AR2005041502285.html
If your friend doesn't want to go to Chinatown, on our trips to Paris my beloved and I always have one or two dinners at Le Petite Dragon on rue St. Paul in the Marais. It's just a modest neighborhood place, but it nevertheless has terrific food. |

At Chez Yang Go they have menus in English, but as most Chinese restaurants are closed on Monday.
They are at Rue des Roses (77) Servon. |
