DIMANCHE ROUGE
A Sunday of experimental live performances
June 19, a Sunday of experimental performances showcasing over 30
artists from 9 different countries at 2 venues, a 1,200 sq m former
iron foundry turned into an art gallery, and an art house next to the
Pompidou Center.
Bring your appetizers and drinks to enjoy experimental live
performances ranging from body projection mapping and live motion
tracking to graffiti art and narrative performances.
Artists from France, Poland, Spain, the UK, Germany, Russia, Ukraine,
Mexico and the USA will experiment with new technologies and
traditional supports to push the limits of art.
Not to be missed, the fifth edition of Dimanche Rouge, which has
already showcased almost one hundred artists from seventeen different
countries in five months.
There will also be a special massage performance followed by massage
sessions interacting with the public.

Fellow expatriates,

I have recently discovered a nice group that organizes cultural events in Paris. I have been to several events, including a weekend trip and I have had some really positive experience. The people I have met are mostly expatriates and exchange students and overall attitude is positive and relaxed.

I thought I would share it with people on this forum. This group is located on meet up website and called "travel and excursion in France and Europe"

They have upcoming tour to Champagne, might be a nice opportunity to meet some new people.

Live Streamed Street Interventions
Dimanche Rouge will hold a special August edition consisting in street interventions in different cities. Dimanche Rouge invites the general public to take part from these street interventions as group performers. These actions will be filmed and streamed live online. Viewers will be able to watch the performances over the internet.
Performances will be held on August 21st, 2011, at 7 pm, Paris time–other countries will match this time so that performances are held simultaneously.
The specific place where the performances will take place in each city, will be communicated by the coordinator to the participants on August 18th.
Registration for performers is not mandatory but highly appreciated. Registration is mandatory for people who wish to coordinate/produce an intervention.
