Men's Shoes - Black Geox

Brand new pair of Geox shoes - on view at www[dot]dolce[dot]fr/chaussures/chaussure_homme.php?produitID=2796&typeID=20000 I have never worn these shoes except to try them on; decided I like something better. Dolce shoe store would not refund the 120 euros. Be careful, GEOX shoes tend to be a lit...

Re: Exotic food for exotic tourists

Just back from Copenhagen, where I learned that Noma requires a reservation two years in advance.
I made it to the waiting list. At the no. 1 restaurant in the world, smoked musk ox cheek is a feature.
Scandinavians definitely are living on the edge.

Re: French restaurants in Paris

I wouldn't put 'view of the Eiffel Tower' as a priority for selecting a restaurant in Paris, although it would be a nice plus. I'm reading the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, who was Swedish. Every other paragraph a character is drinking coffee, so I think this may be a Scandinavian thing. I'm off to Finland in a couple weeks, then Norway. I'll let you know.

Use this policy - I find it amazingly helpful: don't tip, ever, in France. Just say 'merci.' That usually does the job.

They will eat anything in France, so long as it is presented by an arrogant waiter, over-priced, and accompanied by a decent wine.
