obviously the most important factor that pollutes the environement are the cars. So, reasonably would it be that the humanity refuses driving the car for at least one day.

buy saving bulbs. These bulbs have to obvious advantages:
1. emit less or almost no CO2
2. after life-longevity are much stronger and can work for 2-4 years, which is great.

Replace old windows with energy efficient ones; plant trees to shade your home.

I think the effective way to save our mother earth from pollution is to plant trees and avoid using cars with smoke belching.
