| President of the Finnish company Nokia, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo announced the deal of purchasing Symbian Limited to be ended. The transaction amount is not specified.
Symbian Limited worked out Symbian, one of the most spread operating systems in the world. Almost all nokia smartphones use the Symbian OS.
Nokia's intentions were declared as far back as on 24 June, 2008. At that time, the negotiating amount was 264 million euros.
Until this transactions Symbian's shares was belonged as follows: Nokia - 56.3%; Ericsson - 15.6%, Sony Ericsson - 13.1%, Panasonic - 10.5%, Samsung - 4.5% |
