| Can anyone offer advice on subletting a flat in Paris through craigslist? I'm wary of getting scammed since most want a security deposit first.

| Do NOT agree to wire money in advance under any circumstances, and do not send copies or your personal identification.
Stick to reputable agencies or landlords that have been recommended to you personally.

| I have subleted through craigslist without any problems. Sometimes they ask for a deposit to be paid through paypal. Just exchange emails with the letter and get a feel for it. You have to rely on some faith -- but I have subleted 2 times through craigslist and have never had a problem. |
