| The Indian Space Agency announced about the lauanching of its first moon satellite Chandrayaan-1 on October 22, 2008. Similar machines were launched by Japan and China in 2007. Approximate launch hour - 3:30 (CET).
The 590-kg device will be revolving around the Moon at 100-km distance height. The project will last for about 2 years.
The mission's goal is to draft a 3D map of the Moon surface. Moreover, the device will be searching on the Moon such elements as radon, uranium and thorium.
Chandrayaan-1 proves that India plays a much more important role in the world. By researching the space, India gradually builds its future. In case something sensational is discovered, India will become rich in no time. |
