The American and Korean researchers have developed the simple technique, allowing to create high-efficiency integrated schemes which can be stretched and bended without causing any harm to these products. They have published article about the working out in magazine Science. The know-how" of stretched mono-crystal silicon shown by the group of scientists uses silicon micro-circuits that are hundreds times there are smaller less than the parameters of the regular microcircuits and are placed on an elastic substrate. Nokia was interested in this technology for developing its next top-handset and even has some promo materials of a concept called the Morph:

| It would be great and very useful if such phones appear. I mean they will work forever with no damage, no matter how much we bent or stretch them. I sometimes am behaving not careful with my cell phone and its housing gets worn too fast, so would be happy to have a phone based on this new technology. |
