| Retired U.S. couple looking for quiet, convenient apartment in Paris for six months. Would appreciate all advice, especially how to avoid legal or landlord problems, how to avoid scams, etc. Currently budgeting $1500 U.S. per month for rent, utilities, apartment leasing fees, misc., etc. Is that reasonable ? Just looking for a decent place, with metro access, in a nice neighborhood, with bakery, stores, cafes, etc. Any advice appreciated. Most of the agencies want us to sign a lease without seeing the apartment, only pictures. Not sure I want to do that. |
